Adam turned and fell into Dean’s arms his body going slightly limp, the boy clearly crying himself to exhaustion. “Please… just let this nightmare end. I don’t want to fight anymore.” He mumbled as his head rolled onto Dean’s chest as he closed his puffy red eyes.
Dean moved closer to Adam. “Adam, look. Charlie is NOT replacing you. I promise.” he says, not daring to touch him right now for slight fear that he might get stabbed. “I know you’re upset, I would be too. You have every right to be, but know that you’re still my brother, and I still love you.”
“Don’t say that! I’m just the side job result of dad.” His body was shaking his face was growing slightly more pale and tears just kept coming. He didn’t know what was happening, he couldn’t help this his emotions just kept flushing out. “You don’t love me.”
“Whoa whoa hold THE FUCK up. REPLACED you? Hell no. I didn’t replace you. Family is important to me because it’s all I have left.” he ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “Charlie’s not replacing you, Adam.”
“She is! Sh…she is…” He said as tears started to streak down the boys face. He couldn’t help it anymore. He was just so upset, so broken. He didn’t mean to cause a scene, and he clearly didn’t want to upset Dean anymore because it was such a touchy subject. But Adam needed his brother to know that how he felt.
